Dr Michael H Vickers (m)

MB ChB (Bristol 1987) DipRCPath

Dr Mike Vickers joined the practice in April 1999. He grew up in Knutsford and graduated from University of Bristol in 1987. After a variety of hospital posts, including several years training in clinical microbiology, he switched to General Practice, completing his training in Burton on Trent. His wife, Rachel is a consultant anaesthetist at Queen's Hospital, Burton and they have two daughters, Charlotte and Lucy.

Dr Sarah J Smith (f)

MB ChB (Leicester 1994) DRCOG MRCGP DCH DFFP

Dr Sarah Smith was born in London before moving to Northamptonshire at the age of 7. She graduated from Leicester University in 1994. After initial training in Paediatrics she switched to General Practice and completed her training in South Yorkshire in 1999. She joined the practice in 2000 after moving to Derby with her husband who is a local Dentist. Her medical interests include paediatrics and respiratory disease. Outside of the practice she is busily entertained by her 3 sons, James, Sam and Rory.

Dr Jonathan A Marsden (m)

MBChB (Sheffield 2005) MRCGP

Dr Jonathan Marsden was born and raised in Oldham, Lancashire. He always wanted to be a GP and graduated from University of Sheffield Medical School in June 2005. After house jobs in Sheffield, he joined onto the Chesterfield Vocational Training scheme and there completed his GP training in August 2010. His medical interests include ear, nose & throat medicine. His wife, Rachel is a senior physiotherapist and they live with their two young son's Matthew and Christopher. Outside of the practice, he enjoys playing cricket and going for walks.

Dr Talim Latif (m)

Dr Talim M Latif MBBS (University of Guyana 1999), DRCOG, MRCGP (2015)

Dr Latif was born and raised in Guyana. After completing his medical degree he did hospital jobs in Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He moved to the UK in 2005 and worked in various hospitals for 4 years in geriatric medicine. He decided to put his wide experience together by becoming a GP and finished the Derby GPVTS training in 2015. His medical interests includes geriatrics and dermatology. His wife is a registered nurse and they have 2 kids.  He is an avid F1 fan and also enjoys cricket, tennis, mountain biking, rambling and the great outdoors.

Dr Alison Burr (f)

BMBS (Nottingham 2014) MRCGP

Dr Alison Burr was brought up in Birmingham and moved to Nottingham to attend university. After initial hospital jobs in the area she joined the GP training scheme in Derby, after deciding that the variety of the work appealed to her, and joined the practice in January 2021 when she completed her training. She is married to Gareth, a Civil Engineer and outside of work she is kept busy with her son, Elliott and daughter, Bethany, and also enjoys long walks in the countryside.
